This one-day Scout-led training for adult volunteers covers all of modules 10A and 10B.

 

Free for volunteers within Gwent, £15 fee for outside areas.

1st Response - Life support (module 10A session 1)

Type: Area Training


This is part one of a three part course, and all three online sessions must be attended to complete module 10A, but you can mix and match session dates, including with other Areas/Counties.  After these sessions you then need to complete a short practical assessment (module 10B) to complete the First Response certificate.

 

1900-2100

 

Aim: This course aims to cover the knowledge and skills necessary to enable members of The Scouts and Girlguiding to provide basic first aid and ensure safe management of a first aid incident.

 

Objectives:  By the end of the training participants will have had the opportunity to be

     provided with simple first aid information which is relevant to their role.

     helped to build confidence and skills in coping with emergency and first aid situations.

     equipped with the knowledge needed to manage these emergencies.

1st Response - Trauma and injury (module 10A session 2)

This is part two of a three part course, and all three online sessions must be attended to complete module 10A, but you can mix and match session dates, including with other Areas/Counties.  Attendance on all 3 sessions is compliant to return to face to face Scouting, but a short practical assessment (module 10B) will be available soon and must be completed (or an external certificate obtained) by the end of January 2022.

Jamboree on the Trail (JOTT)

Jamboree On The Trail is an annual day for the World Scout Movement to hike together. All Scouts, whatever their age and wherever they may be in the world, are invited to participate in whatever way they can.
 
In their own way, everyone will be hiking the same direction; towards a better future through Scouting.
