ScoutsCymru along with the help of expert volunteers and the input of our young people, have been working hard with our partners the Mission to Seafarers to develop a new Programme which will explore the World of Seafaring. From activities such as cooking dishes from around the world, learning about life on board vessels and the day-to-day challenges faced by Seafarers our young people will have the chance to engage with many important topics and develop skills for life.
We are extremity excited about this great new Programme here in Gwent as our very own Edward Watts MBE DL, Chairperson for the Gwent Area Scouts Executive was the originator of the idea. This has created a fantastic opportunity for our young people to learn about Seafarers adding to their knowledge about the world around them.
